Chanakya — The Mastermind of Ancient India
Introduction
One of the greatest Indian philosophers, economicists, teachers, and political strategist was Chanakya. Also called Kautilya or Vishnugupta, Chanakya lived during the 4 th century BCE and was instrumental in the founding of one of India’s most dominant empires-the Mauryas. He is renowned for his brilliant political acumen and his incredible insights, and his highly influential work known as the Arthaśāstra is considered a seminal text that deals with the earliest study of economics, politics, administration, and military strategies.
